Who do we want to see again
Of saturdays starting line up you would expect all except Cobblers trio, to be offered terms. Wether they accept them is another matter and some will be subject to persausion from other clubs.
Others who could be considered are O Brien and Ward.
Hopefully Daldy and Brown Hill will have recovered from injury sufficiently to be considered.
I would hope the Cobblers lads could be in our plans if they are not retained by Northampton.
Im sure Sandy already has players in mind that he would like
To sign, especially some strikers.
At least he has more time than he did last pre season and has a much stronger squad now.

I would like the entire squad to be given the opportunity at the start of next season including Jarvis and OBH, with the addition of a couple decent strikers

Re: Who do we want to see again
There's a lot to be gained from continuity and I'd like that to happen. Would anyone welcome back either (or both) of the prodigal sons (Bruno and Tyler) if management could sort out their issue? I got the impression that it would be a management decision (at the time we let them go) if they could be considered to come back. Let's face it, Bruno should have scored 25+ goals this season with the chances he had. Maybe there's someone better out there?Dbsl wrote: Mon Apr 27, 2026 1:47 pm I would like the entire squad to be given the opportunity at the start of next season including Jarvis and OBH, with the addition of a couple decent strikers
I'd love to see the 3 Cobblers players back, I think Findlay is the best left back since Sam Brown, Evans has a great engine in midfield and Barnett has so much potential (needs an older head alongside to guide him IMO).
Maybe another punt at Will Jones, who is still a good prospect at this level I think?

Re: Who do we want to see again
Certainly would not want Tyler back. But Bruno is diffrrent class and if he can bring himself to apologise to fans, team mates and management I would be quite happy to have him back, as I am sure Sandy would also.
I dont think Will Jones would fit into the ethos that Sandy is trying to build. Although I expect the Welly squad to be very much decimated over the coming weeks.
Priority has to be getting strikers who actually score goals and there are several within the county who may well be become available.

Re: Who do we want to see again
All Bruno needs to do is score a goal kiss the badge and all is forgiven.
Now if we want to be at the top we will have to strengthen, and that is not the whole team we ended with 10 games W0 D5 L5.
Like to keep all Npton lads.
Defence is good enough to be playoffs at least , Brownie a must, need Findlay with him for cover. Already have Curtis cover rb
Just need to score more goals, we never got well beaten. A nice situation to be in this summer unlike previous.
That team and performance of the 1st half against Anstey is what we need from the start, and that 11 didn’t have Daldy.
No Cairo Jordan or Jamal for a promotion/playoff side
