Loanees

Post by sussexdiamond »

I see several other clubs in the Southern League bring in loanees from EFL 1 and 2 clubs but we rarely do this. In recent seasons we have had a couple from Oxford and Cobblers but that is about it. What are anyone's thoughts on this route to improve our current situation.

Albie Hopkins was brilliant for us .Can't really think of any others that stood out. Morgan Roberts was average for us IMO and Lopez n Charillion Chambers were poor. However, Roberts flying at Banbury now & Charillion Chambers still at Oxford so once again the Management question rears it's head IMO. Would the Club or the player benefit in current situation?

I think generally speaking building relationships with local bigger clubs is immensely valuable, in the final years of the old club we a few players from Peterborough come in & Rene Howe in particular had a big effect during that last season. Given the links with the cobblers through Jon Brady maybe this is possible again with Northampton.

Not entirely convinced it will help our current crisis though, personally, I think the issue isn't with the squad of players we have at our disposal.

I agree Hopkins was excellent for us, 100%, and Roberts was very good for us. Mighty Diamonds

I agree with it would be good idea to get 1 or 2, loanees in from Cobblers, especially with Brady link/manager of Clobbers, could be win win for both, game time.
