There does not seem much interest in this game now for either side. It would at least be good to get back to winning ways today to set us up for Monday.

FT 0-5, ouch
Not exactly the best of preparation for Monday, although hopefully it'll act as a kick up the backside for us.
On a more positive note, Coalville are amazingly only the second team in the league to manage to beat us by more than 1 goal all season, before today our heaviest defeats were the 2-0 defeats to Rushall, considering it was our first season at the highest level we've played, to get to this stage of the season without being badly beaten by anyone is quite impressive, very disappointing to see us be thrashed, but we have proven ourselves extremely tough to beat all season which should bode well for our future at this level.

It was always going to be a difficult run in with the teams we had but one win in eight and now a 5-0 thrashing. Players and managements clearly downing tools for summer 10 games early.
Certainly no appetite from me to watch half arsed players on Monday, think I'll give it a miss now.

Perhaps if I hadn’t have been to today’s game I might have been as positive as you, but very little about this current side bodes well for the future i’m afraid. Either the players jacked in 10 games ago or this squad has reached its limit. Something somewhere has gone badly, badly wrong lately (with the exception of last week which was OK) and today was an embarrassment.Olly wrote: Sat Apr 20, 2019 4:01 pm FT 0-5, ouch

We don’t attack teams. We don’t string two passes together in the opposition’s half. We lump the ball to Lorraine and nobody supports him, making him chase loose balls on his own whilst those behind him just stand around with their hands on their hips. We have no width, we have no creativity and i’m sorry to say we have a handful that are lacking the required effort. This wasn’t the case until a month/6 weeks ago. What’s changed?
Whatever the answer to the above today should act as a wake up call in terms of where we’re at and what’s required in the summer.
We’ll probably go and beat K*ttering now.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

We won’t beat K*ttering . Especially that they rested basically their 1st team today ready for us Monday . Hope it’s not embarrassing

Not much to add on what has already been mentioned to be fair. I know I don't go frequently anymore but I struggle to remember (Other than both games at Oadby) a worse performance by the newly reformed club. Other than Hicks, Lorraine and Dolman, who was asked to play a holding midfielder role??!! Not many of the players could have walked off the pitch with their head even half held high. They'll know that themselves though.
I said at the beginning of the season we'll finish mid table and that should be classed as a successful season. Perhaps being in and around the play-offs for so long makes the drop in form and subsequent league position a bit dissapointing but we are looking at ending up where most of us predicted we would. The manor in which we ended up there may turn out to be a bit of an anti-climax though.
Lord only knows how we will turn around in time for Monday. I obviously hope we do, but I fear the worst. Then following that up with a trip to a fairly resurgent Tamworth on the last day, I worry we may not pick up another point. I hope I am proved wrong though!
