Still a few seats on the coach if anyone decides to travel last minute. Just turn up at the D&D for 4pm departure, priority will be given to those who have booked but I'll do my best to squeeze everyone on :)

Diamonds lead 2 1 at half time.
Evangelinos after 6 mins with tap in after shot cleared on line by keepe.
Penalty 2 mins later for Belper...far side right on edge pen box not clear what for. Tucked home easy.
Lewis Wilson scores after 37 tucking home Shariff square ball after he had finally beaten offside trap. Wilson had only been on pitch 2 minutes after Bunting went off with recurrence of his injury.
Deserved due to bright quick play bit to be fair Belper threatening in same fashion.
Half time 2 1 Diamonds

Really impressive away win, hopefully we have found a decent strike partnership now. Sharif and Wilson have to start the next game. They are both a goal threat and link up well which is something we haven't had.

Totally deserved victory, thoroughly enjoyed that! Nice little trip up on the coach, nice Indian meal before kick off and 3 nice points picked up - got to enjoy a midweek away game !!

Some interesting results tonight, particularly the Sheffield one, apparently they had a player sent off too!!

What a difference a week makes. After the first tie against Histon I really doubted whether this squad was capable of achieving anything this season. 3 games and 12 goals later, we're flying again!

Excellent display last night, we were clinical in our finishing and were creating chances at will. I wasn't convinced we'd be able to keep Belper at bay in the second-half as their pacey forward line had made life difficult for us in the first-half. Taylor's early goal in the second half killed the game and they rarely threatened after that. It must be said though that Belper's defence was desperately poor, the first 3 goals we scored were so soft from their point of view.

On to Basford on Saturday, another team with poor away form currently. A 9-point haul from these 3 games would be an excellent return.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

While there were plenty of positives from last night's performance, we are going to have to keep the ball a lot better than that if we're going to keep up the good form we've shown over the past 3 games. First half in particular we were really sloppy in possession, and will get punished against a better side - with the exception of a couple of players going forwards, Belper were piss poor.

However, we defended well for most of the game, took our chances clinically (particularly Orosz and Dolman), and played some really good stuff in spells. All in all, a bloody good away trip, capped off by an excellent double cheeseburger!

And a rather splendid performance by Alan.
