Tomorrows games.
If Aylesbury fail to beat Royston, Diamonds are assured of top five finish.
If Kings Langley beat Fleet any slim hopes of Diamonds winning League will go.
St Ives v Barton should be comfortable home win.
Godalming v Northwood
Bedford v CSP
Both of the above will finally see off any hopes for those teams still in with a remote chance.
Kings Langley still very much favourites to finish top.

If Royston beat Aylesbury that also ends any slim hopes of the Diamonds winning the league, as they have to play Egham in the last game and even a draw in that game would leave Royston on at least 80 points with a much better goal difference.sussexdiamond wrote:If Aylesbury fail to beat Royston, Diamonds are assured of top five finish.

The key point is that if Diamonds beat Egham they are in the playoffs regardless of other results.

Re: Tomorrows games.
If we win our last 2 games we will finish above Egham if they fail to win at Royston on the final day. If they do beat Royston it gives us a reasonable chance of finishing above Royston given that their other 2 fixtures are potentially tricky.
St Ives would need to win all three of their games to finish above us, but Kings Langley would only need 3 points from a reasonable easy run-in to stay ahead of us.
Based on that I think that we will finish 3rd. or 4th. if we win both our games, or 4th./5th. if we get 3 or 4 points only.

No real surprise that one - the pitch there is like a ploughed field underwater after a simple shower !!Formic wrote:Aylesbury against Royston is off.

That's no surprise with their pitch being as it is. Tuesday/Thursday for both of them coming up.Formic wrote:Aylesbury against Royston is off.
I just hope that our game is on today.
Re: Tomorrows games.
It's now becoming a serious doubt that unless they concede home advantage or use someone else's ground over the next 7 days Aylesbury will not complete their fixtures by next Saturday. One for Formic to come back with the possible consequences should this happen. I'm sure the Southern League will have a fool proof contingency plan, if not they can always consult The Northamptonshire FA as they have a special way with piss ups in brewery's.Formic wrote:Aylesbury against Royston is off.
Re: Tomorrows games.
I note Stamford's trip to Darlington was called off today, and they've rearranged the game for tomorrow at Spennymoor - or failing that at Durham City's ground. It looks like the Northern Premier League can act decisively - and they are updating the league website in a timely fashion too.
I'd guess Aylesbury FC could switch their game on Tuesday to Thame and to Leighton Buzzard on Thursday to fit around other fixtures at those grounds - and follow in the footsteps of their local rivals. Barton Rovers have a home game on Tuesday otherwise that might have been an option.
