Re-arranged Arlesey fixture

Post by MarkH »

Can someone confirm whether or not the "Six Pack" ...

http://www.afcdiamondsshop.com/tickets.asp

allows us to get into the re-arranged Arlesey fixture without losing another 1 of the six pack of matches ?

Well I spoke to someone at the turnstile about this just before the Ware match who after talking to a board member confirmed that the Arlesey match would be free for Season Ticket holders only.

However he did point out that the Barton Rovers match on the 6th March would be "Pay what you want" which if correct seems the fair thing to do.

What was the reason we were unable to do this for the rearranged Arlesey fixture?
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Wasn't it something to do with the Southern League insisting it goes down as a cup match or something like that, hence the takings are split between the 2 clubs :hmmm:

I suppose, in fairness to the league and to Arlesey, it is reasonable to expect to have the costs of travel to each opponent once, but if they have to do it again some sort of compensation is in order.

There are some further details as to the chain of events on the members forum regarding this.

Anyone who isn't on it and who is a member can go on it, or you can become a member and then go on it. If we just copy and paste what was put on the members forum on here it completely devalues the members forum and we surely we want to promote membership and it's benefits?

The result is for the Arlesey rearranged fixture season tickets are now valid and the Barton game will be Pay What You Want so nobody loses out from the Arlesey abandonment.
