Membership 2015

Post by mattparker »

Having just recorded our highest ever attendance at the Dog and Duck and sitting (joint) top of the table its a good time to talk about growing our Membership.

I'd be really interested to hear from Supporters who are not currently Members about what they would like to see from our current scheme and what (if anything) is stopping joining/renewing.

Also any suggestions from current members about what benefits you think would help would be really appreciated

Am I glad you posted this matt.

My wife brought me the AFCRD membership for Christmas last year and it would seem I didn't have my brain in gear at the time nor recently, because I wrongly assumed it would last for a year.

It also still didn't sink in when I received an email from Mark Dimmock about the renewal despite the fact it states "former Member" .

So my question is do I keep the original laminated certificate which has my Membership Number on it or will I be issued a new one as I've accidentally let it lapse ?

As I understand it:-

1) All memberships lapse at 30th June in any year so needs to be re-newed by the 1st July to retain membership benefits.

2) A membership number once issued remains registered against that name.

The above Post covers this nicely. You retain your membership number but none of the benefits until you renew.

I do like the idea of giving Membership as a Christmas present though... Must be lots out of people out there who would like one of these to open on Christmas morning.
