Can you help divot/repair the pitch after home matches?

Can you help divot/repair the pitch after home matches?

Post by Dazzler »

Are you able to spend 40-50 minutes after home matches to divot the pitch?

In order to keep the pitch in as good a condition as possible for all uses of the pitch, the best time to do this is just after the game.
We are looking for ideally 4 or 5 people to assist the existing ground staff/volunteers after games and help do some initial devoting/repairs to pitch damage after our home games (Saturdays and evening matches).

If you can help (we have a few spare forks, but can get more depending on numbers of volunteers we get). We don't expect people to be able to do every game, but it would be good to get some regulars that can do most. You will be shown what is needed to be done. You should of course have suitable footwear depending on the weather and pitch conditions.

We then usually follow this up the next day with pitch cutting/rolling to bed this in - depending on weather/pitch conditions.

If you can help, please go to the tunnel area near the edge of the pitch and make yourself known to Mark Hedges (usually will have kit with MH on). With a few more people we can get this done more quickly and closer to the end of the match.
