Re: What was Saturdays attendance
574. Largest Step 5 attendance in the country.
Whitworths was 200, due the great and good attending their new club house opening. The previous Saturday for their derby match against Raunds it was 19.

Apologies for it being missing off the report - I thought I'd added it to Ollie's report on Saturday evening, as well as on the fixture / results grid, but couldn't have saved the updated version of the report.

I think credit must go to the stewards who sorted out the traffic flow so well on Saturday.Trek wrote:574. Largest Step 5 attendance in the country.

Re: What was Saturdays attendance
I see we've got some competition this season for the title of Step 5's Best Supported Club. Worksop Town who were demoted 2 leagues in the summer are currently averaging 467 so far this season. We're currently averaging 506.
Weirdly Shaw Lane Aquaforce in the same league have had a gate of 904 this season, not sure of the reason behind that.

I thought it was odd I actually heard Whitworths on Saturday! I also thought it was odd when queueing up at the turnstiles and 2 lads came up to one of our stewards and asked where the Whitworths ground was, thinking surely they must be mistaken :lol:Trek wrote:574. Yeah, before our big crowds, Worksop were actually ahead of us in terms of average crowds, but its great to be above 500 againBartonRaz wrote:I see we've got some competition this season for the title of Step 5's Best Supported Club. I noticed that Shaw Lane Aquaforce (a great name btw) crowd as well, they're doing well, but I can't see why a game against a mid table side would attract such a crowd to a step 5 game, its possible its a typo and the the actual crowd was 90. Then again, its possible it could have been special circumstances like with the S&L Corby crowd last month.

That's one F off big trough to get that amount of snouts in for a free feeding frenzy. I know one who will be gutted to have missed it having stood with me all afternoon grazing on nothing more than chips with curry sauce & a Mars bar :oTrek wrote: Whitworths was 200, due the great and good attending their new club house opening.

I've done a bit of digging. A big rivalry between the two teams apparently. Still, it's a huge crowd.Olly wrote:I thought it was odd I actually heard Whitworths on Saturday! Re: What was Saturdays attendance
Fingers crossed our neighbours can keep some of those fans - if not, we'll have them! Hoping our attendances stay around the 500 mark, combine that with a run towards Wembley and we might have a nice pile for the Liam Dolman Hair Transplant fund!
Re: What was Saturdays attendance
Oh right, yeah, that's still huge for 2 teams that usually only manage to draw 100/150 fans. Hopefully we'll beat that crowd on Boxing Day though!BartonRaz wrote:I've done a bit of digging.
