Mahoosive game! Got to be rock solid at the back and then make it pay in the box. Confident we'll perform for this and show our real title credentials!

For me....
.............................Finlay.............................
Clarke..........Dolman...........Parkinson.........Ashton
ELJ..............Confue............Harris.............Koriya
..................Dunkley...........Turner....................
That is assuming that Clarke is fit, if not probably Harris at RB and Bunting in midfield.
Whilst Lorraine has looked better this season than he did last year, I think we need our best attacking side out for this game, and for me that includes Turner for sure. The bloke has scored 9 goals in his last 4 games. Holbeach by the way have conceded 8 in their last 2 games.
Debatable whether you play Brown or Ashton at LB, but I don't think you can leave Ashton out.
Whatever happens re: the lineup, we need all Diamonds out in force on Saturday. Make no mistake, this is a huge game, a win against Holbeach puts a marker down.

ELJ goes from a good game to a bad one, so with that in mind I'd start Gearing, since ELJ had his good game last night. I still think MG is a better all-round player than ELJ.
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

Horses for courses. Brownie has to start at LB for me, with Ashton moving into the centre alongside Dolman, and Jamal at right back if fit. I thought Parky had a good game against Kempston but had a bit of a mare against a good Thurnby front line, and the thought of him up against the Holbeach strike force worries me.
The wingers pick themselves with Gearing unavailable (Gyasi has made a very promising start to his Diamonds career though, but a first start against Holbeach would be too much), and it has to be Harris and Confue in the middle. Bunts hasn't done anything wrong as such, but hasn't been commanding games like he did last season (when fit).
Up top, I'd also bring back Turner, alongside Dunkley obviously. I really like Tom Lorraine, but Turner is, by a county mile, the best finisher at the club, and in a game where I doubt we will have as many chances as we have had in recent games (despite the Holbeach defence's generosity in their last two games) that could make the difference.

Dave doesn't always make sense, even when helping out referees, but in this instance I'd agree with 100%.. Jamie Stevens is also suspended for Holbeach I thinkdavealbon wrote:Horses for courses.
