The Pitch
Morning All,
The pitch looks a hell of a lot better today than it did yesterday. I wish I had a camera to have shown you how much water was on the pitch, literally covered all of the pitch with water, but thankfully all this has now been drained away. All the water which is left is just off the pitch on the touch lines behind the goal on the training area side.
Not too sure what the weather forcast is for tomorrow and saturday, but hopefully you should get the game on if not too much more rain is forcast. (we certainly won,t be having as much as we did yesterday that is for sure).

Re: The Pitch
I wonder if the linesmen will think about switching sides (if they can do that) because the far line on the dugout side is was looking really bad after Saturday.
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

Re: The Pitch
No reason why they can,t sarah, we done it before, no reason why we cant do it again. Plus it will help the linesman keep up with play better, instaed of getting stuck in the line near the dugouts.

Re: The Pitch
Do we have sand available, as if so, I will be the early again to "fork" the pitch, I could also sand the lines, this will take away the mud and stickiness, oh er!!burger monster wrote:No reason why they can,t sarah, we done it before, no reason why we cant do it again. Re: The Pitch
If its survives tonight's heavy rain, the rain on Saturday is just light showers, so it may stand a chance of being on.coltrane wrote:Wet Thursday :( dry Fridaywet Saturday :?
Re: The Pitch
Will pop in at some point tomw at assess it then. Obviously with rain weve had and where the ground is situated the ground wont take a lot more water to top things up. Depends largely how much rain comes in tonight.
Fingers crossed.

Re: The Pitch
I looked at pitch at 3.00pm today and with the very strong wind it seems to be drying out quite well.
It all depends on how much rain we get this evening.
