hi debanker(im guessing you are on this forum under another username) i would like to thank you for what you said about jake reynolds on poppynet :D in the youth update topic,i see hoy bluntly replied to you  as i am not allowed to register  i cant have my say, there are many issues in a young footballers life at 16 ie will they make it ,exams, resits, which college do they attend,do they stay on at school,do they get a job...........lots of pressure.......and to be fair he has had to get his fingers in many pies just in case one option fails (which hoy didnt seem to like  )...........im going to be honest here as a parent ,,,,,its all about your childs education first then football ,our problem with ktfc was that you can only do B TEC sport at moulton college and no other subject, plus the distance to travel, plus we had reservations about the state of ktfc at the moment and would they still be going next year(would any of you put your child in this situation)tresham college(K*ttering) is the same ,they only do b tec sport...........what happens if your child gets injured and cant play/do sport anymore ,what then? so fingers crossed we have found a college close to home which allows him to do other subjects ie maths/geography etc and to play for afc rushden and diamonds (which he/we supported :D )lets hope he does a good job for afc r&d and ktfc have missed out...........only time will tell ;) ;) once again thanks for your comment :D

I think we've all been very impressed with Jake so far, it's a good point you make about education first and football second, that hopefully fits in with football for all so that we can offer football whatever the circumstances.
Welcome aboard hope he enjoys it as much as we have this season

Anyone that says AFC is better than K*ttering is a hero ;) seriously though he looks a great prospect and hope he succeeds on and and off the field!

I think Corby and Manor school are offering A levels along with the football next year. Best of both worlds.
