Eddie Oshodi

Hornets defender Eddie Oshodi will sign for Rushden and Diamonds later this afternoon, the Watford Observer understands.

The centre back is set to join Rushden on loan until the end of the season and the deal should be completed by late this afternoon.

First-year professional Oshodi spent almost six weeks at Dagenham and Redbridge earlier in the season but did not feature as the weather led to several postponements.

Dagenham only played three matches during Oshodi’s time at the club and the former England Under-17 international was an unused substitute in two of the games.

Oshodi made his only Watford appearance in August when he came on against Notts County in the Carling Cup.

Another waste of a loan IMO.

Well we haven't seen him yet, but with Prosser, Thorne, Corcoran, Huke, Miller and Osano all possible Cbs I would not say it is a priority atm.

I would assume Thorne will go back after the one month now, which will be roughly the same time Huke returns.

One of my mates works for Watford and reckons he's quality. Good signing I say. I reckon Thorne will get sent back.

I understand that he has been training with us today, also with no sign of Oli Thorne?
