So 29 days to go till the world cup.....

Post by godber »

.....Anyone excited yet? (part from ID of course ;) )

Bored so thought I'd do a poll to see where us English fans truely believe we can get to in this years World cup.

I believe we can do well, for me we have one of in not the best coach in the world in Fabio, but I think winning it or getting to the final will be bloody hard.

what does everyone else think?

Sorry to go with sterotype Godber, but i think we'll get beaten in the Quarters, like we always seem to, and it will most probably be on penalties. Anything else would be a disappointment!!!! ;)

Fabio will do well to get a fairly average bunch of players beyond the quarters.

I sense a hint of dissapointment from previous tournaments, from you there Turveyman.

I for one am gunna give the team my full support, just like with the diamonds, whatever team is out on the field! :D

The standard of football in the Prem hasn't been that great this season with some of our "key" players under par (Gerrard, Ferdinand). England also lack a decent keeper. We needed Fabio four years ago when we had a stronger squad.

Dont agree about the keeper I would play Hart as I think he is the best english keeper round at the moment, and is always a top top keeper

What do you mean? The world cup has already started and England are into the semis  http://www.cricinfo.com/world-twenty20- ... 12701.html

Have to say i agree with that! I think he lacks the experience to YET call him world class, but he most definately has the right attributes. There has been talk of Arsenal being interested, which imo would be a good move for the lad.

Think he should become the regular number one after the tournament, as he does lack the experience. But then again Athletico Madrid's keeper has done ok, after being third choice at the start of the season and then going onto winner the Europa league at only 19! (and i think he's in the Spain squad)

What is the point of going if you don't think we can win it?
FFS only one other person.
You're knocked out with who I am,
Look at you now, you're all in my hands.
