TBF that was a great game and worthy of the larger crowd, up there with Eynesbury and Oadby home games. Disappointing that we couldn't take one of the four/five chances we had, especially in the second half but we're top with a game in hand, that's pretty good as well!

On another note, if Turner doesn't start I think we're shooting ourselves in the foot. Same with Confue.
You hit the nail on the head there. Tom Lorraine did his usual hard work rate but never looks the threat in front of goal that Turner does. When he was introduced it was too late to make an impact. Confue was excellent on his return to the starting line-up as was Joel Gyasi for his full debut. He caused so many problems for the full back with his pace and awareness. There's real competition on the right wit him, ELJ and Gearing.

So anyone who was standing near to the benches, what exactly happened at the end? All I saw was a Holbeach player and Peaksy I think it was have a funny little exchange, I think retrieving a ball and then 10 seconds later we had a mass brawl on our hands and a 5 minute delay. And I assume their angry little c*** of a manager was heavily involved as well, what a cock that man was, shame we didn't wipe the smile off his face at the end!!
But a shame that after 3 weeks of taking our chances, we didn't take them when it mattered, very unlucky with Gyasi's shot that hit the post in the first half and Faz's cracker of an attempt that crashed against the bar in the second, but should have been 3 points really, even if Holbeach had a few good chances. Disappointing to have neither ELJ or Gearing involved, where was ELJ? I like Gyasi and he's a good addition, he's a really exciting and tricky player with the ball at his feet, but his decision making and passing isn't quite up to scratch at the moment I feel.
Well, no matter, hopefully, still early days and we're most definitely in a title race now which is where we want to be and hopefully more 700+ crowds to come this season!

Crowd of 729. Not many games outside the Conference prem will beat that. It just shows the support is there, especially for the big games.
Was that the first penalty we have conceded this season?
Still not beaten a top contender at the Dog and Duck though.
First season 3 draws, 2nd season two defeats.
very enjoyable game for my first UCL match at the D & D this season.

Very good all round performance today, shame we couldn't take the chances like we had been doing recently. Bunting man of the match for me but there was plenty of other contenders. At least there little manager got dumped on his arse in the brawl.

Did anyone see a certain Mr Griggs who was at the game today according to twitter? My memory's gone, has he been to see AFC before?
