So, Huntingdon not really "all that" after all
Yaxley however, seem to be the real deal !! Lots of twists and turns to come, we just need to focus on our own game now - we don't have to worry about anyone apart from ourselves - it truly is ours to lose now isn't it?

F**k me, Huntingdon must be crap if Dot Cotton scored against them!

I didn't realise she was still alive!

Yaxley I would consider to be the main threat, everyone i`ve spoken to from other Clubs rate they much higher than Huntingdon, Holbeach, etc, they dropped a few unexpected points early on but not much since then. Just hope the 2-1 defeat away doesn`t come back to haunt us as even a draw would have given us an extra 3 point buffer. Plenty of sides in this league that can take points off each other, and as it`s been stated, win the next 22 and it`s job done.

Yes it's starting to look like that. They have now beaten Holbeach, Huntingdon and taken 4 points off us - they certainly seem to have a set of players who fancy the big games. The next couple of months are vital - if we continue to keep Yaxley at arms length their confidence might drop, especially as they can't dent our challenge themselves directly now we've played them twice - and it also doesn't look like they've applied for promotion.

Groundhopper report from Non League Matters forum:-
UCL Premier. Huntingdon Town 1-2 Yaxley. ATT 60 ADM £3 programme £1
Finally completed this division tonight leaving only Lutterworth of div 1 to complete the league. Ground is functional rather than memorable with 2 small atcosts on left side as you enter behind near goal where a decent clubhouse is located. Beyond the seats further cover straddles half way for standing. Rest of ground seemed to have hard standing but I did not explore. The game was not a great spectacle & neither side did enough to worry the scorer in 1st period. 2nd half was more lively however & Huntington missed a golden opportunity on 50 with Rogers failing from the spot hitting the ball firmly to keepers left but at a nice height to enable Butcher to make a good save. Yaxley continued to look the better side & took lead with a fine chip over home keeper from right hand edge of area into far corner. They sowed up the win on 89 & although hosts got a goal back it was with the last kick or in fact head of the match in 4th min of added time as ref blew up without restarting after the goal.
In conversation with U C L official at ground I was informed only Rushden & Holbeach have applied for promotion this season from ucl.

At the start Huntingdon were looking more of a treat, now Yaxley are more of a treat than Huntingdon, I would now also like Yaxley to stay in the vase for a while.

I'll settle for 21 wins and a draw.
