Just started a season with Wolves. Lost 4, won 2.
Rushden are 2nd in the BSP.

I'm now in season 6 with sc Heerenveen. After 3 disappointing seasons finishing 6th, 5th and 4th, I won the league for the second time in season 5. Season 6 got off to a great start, beating arch rivals FC Groningen 5-0 away from home in the first game!

How different is it managing abroad. I have only tried it once in 8 years of playing, 3 years in Spain which I didn't particularly enjoy, think that put me off. Normally stick to lower leagues in england now, but have got bored of it.

Managing in Brazil is a strange experience, tactics are completely different although I did well the last time I tried. Last foreign team I managed was Modena who I got to the higher echelons of Serie A before the next game came out.

I almost always play foreign leagues now. FM10 is the first game for a few years that I've played more than a season or two before getting bored, but I've done leagues in Portugal (Moreirense), Spain (Betis, Espanyol twice), Italy (Juve) and Germany (Dortmund) in previous years. I don't know why, but I prefer the challenge of playing in countries where I'm not so familiar with the players and teams, and strangely I seem to have more success.

If you want a real challenge, try the MLS - I haven't yet myself, but know people who have and they say it's the most confusing thing in the world!

I have never tried the MLS purely because it sounds soo complicated

I have started as unemployed, with the English leagues down to BSP, & Italy and Germany to the lowerst playable. Ideally I'd would like a lower league side from Italy/Germany to give it a try, but don't think I'll be able to resist if a conference job comes avaliable.

The MLS is brilliant. Frustrating as hell, but brilliant.

I noticed i haven't commented on my San Jose game since my second season, i had 5 seasons there, eventually losing both the MLS grand final and the Supa Liga final in my final season, so resigned as punishment.

The transfer system is quality, i ended up having David Beckham and Sylvain Wiltord, and some other well known players.

Couple of players to look out for. Jailson, a striker who i think is on a free at the start of the game. Scored 60 in 100 for me at San Jose, clinical. Also if you load the MLS, take a look at Ricardo Sanchez from Minesota (i think). World class player available at about 40k.

I'm doing a game with Elgin at the moment, now that is hard! Came 7th in my opening season in the SD3 and was described as the over achievers of the season!

I am Football Manager #1 Geek.

This is my first visit to this side of the forum, haha just felt I had to contribute my achivements.

I got Corby Town to Premiership Title in 26 seasons.

I got Rushden Diamonds to Premiership in 7 years.

I managed Serbia to the World Cup 2010.

Anyone else got any superb achievements?

In my very first game I managed an impressive 3-1 victory over Blyth Spartan reserves with the Blyth Spartan first team. Does that count?
