On the NPL podcast they were saying that Nik Evangelinos scored a 'shed loads' of goals at West Didsbury & Chorlton last season where he was studying and they expect him to be a real threat with us this season. However, he is apparently looking for a job up North so it will be interesting to see how long he remains with us.

Well some of the skills he dished out in the game against Posh were unlike anything I've ever seen at the D&D, even if he was only on for 20 minutes or so, I'm pleased to see this signing, from that game, he looks like an entertaining player and will offer us something different, even if he might be somewhat limited for pace lol, possibly a good player to bring on as an impact sub.diamondsteve wrote:Haven't seen him play as missed all pre season games . Pleased he's signed on. Thought he did everything but score in pre-season and is certainly the type of player we don't currently have.
With Shariff, Orosz, Lorraine, Newman, Stevo and Wreh now competing for two positions, I wonder if we may see a departure.

I've got the feeling that stevenson may only be with us to get back into fitness and rejoin somebody like Oadby. May be the end of the road for Tom lorraine as I'm not sure he can dislodge sharriff or orosz from the current side and with newman to return, it looks likely he'll only make the bench. Then again I've had visions of him leaving before, like I have Brad Harris and they're both still with us.BartonRaz wrote:Pleased he's signed on. Came on for 20 minutes against Pboro, runs past a man, roulettes another. In all seriousness, he's difficult to shove off the ball and looked quite fast. Can hold it up very well and can run at a man very well.
