I think with Jake Newman, much will depend on who he plays alongside upfront.
Both he and Alfie Taylor were exceptional forwards for UCL1, but didn't work anything like as well together as a pair for us, as they should have done. Jake was better playing alongside Ben Morgan, as was Alfie with Deven Ellwood.
A forward partner like Tom Lorraine, who like Ben and Deven is less "selfish" in front of goal, may well bring out the best in Jake.

Funny you should mention them. The Leicester Nirvana's management team have just taken over at Gresley and there is every likelihood that many of Nirvana's squad will join them. They will be a challenge, I reckon, playing an attacking style of football.
So this league is getting tougher and tougher then

The biggest loss is Hoban IMO, but it's good to see the core of the squad staying. Another year together can only be a good thing, plus a few young signings as well.

Oh man. Still plenty of time to sort things out but that retained list makes for grim reading. Hoban, Richards, Bowen and Quigley are all huge losses.

No word on Jason Lee so presumably he's still in discussions. No word on ELJ either. Anybody else?

As for the new players, pleased with the signing of Newman as has already been discussed, don't know anything about the other two.

I thought Jason Lee was now manager at Daventry (or is it Rugby?).
