No he has not been injured. He was unavailable for the Ware match so had to take a place on the bench against Arlesey and has been unable to regain a starting slot at the expense of either Hall or Hoban.

It was good to see you again Jim tonight.

I agree with your summary. St Ives came for a point - they only had two shots - but did little to impress me. We were not at our best but didnt have to be.

Lorraine gave 150% while the defence looked solid. Now onto Kings Langley - should be a cracker!

Fully deserved 2-0 victory. Thought Claudio deserved MOM.

I hate to moan about referees, but the clown we had tonight was possibly the worst ref we've ever had, saying that, have we had him before??

The linesman on Dales Bar side was equally inept! They originally gave a goal kick, for which blatantly was a corner for us, only to change their mind in our favour!!! :cheesy:

While I'm on the subject of referees, my dad wants to know why they continue to be late? Last Tuesday, and tonight it was at least 7.50 before we kicked off!! :hmmm:

The ref we had against Leigh RMI in 2001 was the worst I've ever seen. Mr S Coffey I think his name was. If a ref has a bad game you just think they're incompetent, but he was more than that, he was a cheat.

This season the ref away at Hanwell was the worst I've seen.

Anyway, great performance by all and Claudiu was outstanding. He finished the Fleet game in a similar fashion and long may it continue. A great time to find form again! We dominated from start to finish although I have to say, I thought their tactics let them down. They were painfully defensive.

Oh my word Coffey has never been beaten as the worst ref ever, i still recall him smiling and enjoying giving his poor decisions, there were tonnes of programmes thrown onto the pitch at him too!

Steve Coffey, Trevor Kettle, Andy Hall (not that one)..... three names that send shivers down my spine for their beyond incompetent refereeing performances. The clown last night was amongst the worst we've had since the reformation, but still has some way to go to reach the depths achieved by those three.

It's never a good thing when you remember a referee's name, with the one exception of Jarnail Singh.

Below are Egham's remaining fixtures. They still have an away game against Fleet to be arranged.

Would you rather take our position or theirs? 8 points behind us with 4 games in hand.

I woulddn't forget Royston, as they are the only team other than Egham to have the title in their hands if they win their remaining games (subject to goal difference) as they have to play Egham twice as well as the Diamonds. They looked a class act when they took us apart at the D&D. They will have been disappointed to see their game called off at short notice last night, as they might have expected to beat Leighton Town and move up to third.

To be fair to refs, not something I do easily, it's usually down to one or other of the managers trying to get an early psychological advantage by making the other team wait. If both ever really go for it it could be Wednesday before the game starts.
