I think you mean Egham - Royston only have 2 games in hand on us !sussexdiamond wrote:We are now top goalscorers (69) and have best GD +34 and 6 points clear. Royston with 4 games in hand can overtake us, but they will have to put in some super performances to do so.
Big week coming up v St Ives and Kings Langley, but first lets beat Fleet on Saturday.

After an indifferent start that was a great result and futher Improvement to the GD. A tremendous MOM performance from Andy Hall who deserved his hat trick. What a second half roasting he gave to Harry Carr! After a slow start Hoban just got better and better.
Not too sure about both our full backs again today but 6 points clear and the pressure is now on the chasing pack.
Good to see a quality referee at this level tonight.

Great result and like Saturday a much improved second half performance. After starting strongly arlesey faded badly and we got stronger as the game went on. Would like to see quigley, Richards and Gordon in the starting line up which would make us even stronger. Great turn out from the fans as well.

I wasn't there tonight, but sounds like we dominated the second half, great to see the team respond after going an early goal down.Pressman wrote:

I think the full-back area is where we're weakest at the moment, especially after losing Sam Brown. Connor Kennedy's got a lot of promise, but is prone to a mistake, while Wilkinson can be a bit hit and miss. If it were me, I'd bring in Gordon at right back for the next couple of games because he's more solid at the back even if we might miss a bit going forward.
I didn't realise you were there on Saturday Chris, otherwise I would have come over and said hello.

Connor Kennedy is very right footed and should be playing right back. I saw him twice playing for Corby last season against Weymouth and Biggleswade and he was immense playing at right back. He seems 'out of salts' on the left and looks very awkward.

I think Kennedy has done well in the games he's played particularly considering he's out of position. Worth taking into account his age.
I'd definitely like to see Gordon restored to the side for the tough upcoming games against St Ives and Kings Langley, not quite sure why he was taken out in the first place to be honest.
Thoroughly enjoyable win yesterday and a massive well done and thank you to the volunteers working on the pitch, it looked infinitely better than i'd expected given the weather on Sunday/Monday.

The result never looked in doubt despite us going behind, the defense just couldn't clear the ball, and unfortunately they took advantage of it. I thought I recognized Lewis Wilson, he was in the old Rushden & Diamonds youth side.
Was obvious they'd run out of steam with the way they were playing. A real show of intent from us I think.
