Re: Clubs response to Nene Park application
Interesting read. Well done to those who have obviously spent a lot of time preparing a well thought out argument to what is surely illegal by that crook cousins.
A true outlaw finds the balance between the passion in his heart and the reason in his mind. The outcome is the balance of might and right.

Good response from the club. No doubt the council couldn't care less though.

It is a good response from the club, the developers have taken perhaps one step towards what is needed but no more.Frogerz wrote:Good response from the club. No doubt the council couldn't care less though.
I disagree that the council couldn't care less, Irthlingborough Town Council raised objections last time. When I have spoken to councillors on an individual basis they are aware of the lack of facilities and want to improve them. Their hands are often tied by Central Government (someone must have voted for them) and getting the funding.

Never ceases to amaze me that Corby Borough Council and Harborough District Council can always find the money for such things, but this seems a step too far for East Northants Council and K*ttering Borough Council.
Even Northampton Borough Council have fallen over backwards in their support for their two premier professional sporting clubs.

It could well be to do with environs. Corby and Harborough Councils have a small footprint to provide services for compared to the geographical behemoth that is East Northants.
Build something in Corby and Harborough and most of the residents will have access to it, build the same in Rushden and people in Collyweston and Easton-on-the-Hill aren't going to use it.
That will be the main problem in getting a single site, single club facility with council assistance, it won't cater for enough people.

Pretty well indeed. But better end this discussion now. Roll on the EU Referendum.SouthRushdenJFC wrote:And how's that going for you?sussexdiamond wrote:Central Government (someone must have voted for them)
