Team: Finlay, Gordon, Brown, Appleton, Dolman, Harris, Richards, Bunting, Lorraine, Berwick and Hoban.
Bench: Liversedge, Vitue, Leslie, Wilkinson and Pinder.

Glad Wilkinson has been dropped after recent performances. Looking forward to seeing how Richards does. Sedge also dropped to the bench.

0-0 at half time. Couple of chances for each side but no goals. Richards seems to be playing well.

Chalfont won against Royston, looks like St Ives drew with Northwood, think Ware lost to Bedford. Good day for us!

Another big result & massive 3 points, especially given what Uxbridge did on Tuesday. :drinks:

When I saw the starting line-up I instantly felt more confident of a positive result than I had in previous games.

It was a very good performance I thought against a well organised Uxbridge side who were extremely hard to break down and looked far better than their league position suggested. We defended infinitely better than in previous games and we'd been knocking on the door for quite some time before Bunting won it for us brilliantly at the death. The end result was the correct one in my opinion.

I've seen Shawn Richards play quite a few times for Stamford, but his debut for us today was certainly encouraging.

Next week's game is going to be a big one, 2nd V 1st. Let's get out in force and get behind the lads.

I'd agree with much of that (I thought Richards faded quite badly in the second half before he was taken off). I think it was only the second game since the Barwell defeat where I really felt confident we had the players / approach to be promotion contenders - the other game being the one at Barton Rovers, as even the big wins against the Ducks and Leighton didn't present a big enough challenge.

It was good to see a solid defence again, and I thought Tom Lorraine had one of his best games for a while - his run in the first half deserved a goal, and perhaps he could have been a bit more selfish.

A good and excellent 3 points away from home. A great goal for Bunting in the 90th minute, by lobbing there goalkeeper. Thought new signing Richards played well, decent pace.

A big match next Saturday (1st vs 2nd) at Chalfont St Peter, let's go there and make sure we get something from it. :clapping:

I've got to work next Saturday, meant to be until 2pm - will defiantly be looking to get away by 1pm all being well - bit of a dash from Bedford, but should make it before ko, don't really want to miss this one !!

Very encouraged by the progress the team is making, been difficult with key players missing - but we've come through a sticky patch well.

Win next week, and if a few other results go our way, we could start to stretch the table a bit. Next two games are massive - win them both and that's a real statement !! I'd take a win and a draw :good:

Table looking good at the moment :notworthy:
