That would have been about the 8th goal we would have conceded in injury time this season. Glad they hang on, believe we've gone top!Cotty wrote:final score 2-1 to Diamonds. Hanwell missed penalty in 95th minute. Other goalscorer was Delroy Gordon.

The referee was unbelievably bad and managed to find 7 minutes of injury time from somewhere. The penalty at the end was a stonewaller. An absolutely ludicrous challenge from Wilkinson who nearly cost us yet more points.
Really poor display from us but the win's all that matters particularly with current squad issues. The one moment of quality was Berwick's goal which was a great strike. I'd be very tempted to start Pinder on Saturday.

Ace 2-1 to go top of the league.
Ace goal from Berwick, where did the ref get 7+ minutes of injury time from. God knows.

The Southern League website states we were 1-0 down to Hanwell (when we never were) how weird and funny is that.

This makes it even more funny.
On the Southern League website (headlines)
It states.
Diamonds back on top after coming from behind to beat Geordies. Even though we were never once behind in the game.

So Wilkinson is responsible for the goal and nearly another goal. I think his days are numbered, thankfully. Dolman back on Saturday so surely Gordon at right-back and Appleton and Dolman in the middle?
At least we eeeked out the win and you can't complain about being top of the league.

We certainly scraped the win last night, with the disjointed performance perhaps not helped by a soggy pitch. I've been watching football many years, but I can't remember a refereeing performance worse than we saw last night (although perhaps a couple have matched it).

Looking forward to seeing what Uxbridge are like this Saturday then. It'll be my first game since the home defeat to Barwell in FA Cup. Having read on here how thread bare the squad is it'll be interesting to see who starts and is on the bench on Saturday. That's a decent result for Uxbridge last night so it will likely be another tough away game.Trek wrote:We've gone top on goal difference as Chalfont lost 3-1 at home to Uxbridge.
Few beers in London is always a good crack though, no matter what the result
