Alright guys,
Thinking about doing the waendal walk next May to raise funds for the club.. Don't think I've ever walked further than 10 miles before but going to attempt the 16 mile route..
Just wanted to know if anyone else is registering or they have done it in the past.. Any information would be greatly appreciated..
Would it be best to create a just giving page? When should the donations reach the club by etc?
Many thanks in advance

Re: Waendal Walk 2016
Hi,
The fundraising team were planning on entering as large a group as we can get for this event, though the planning was in the early stages, but has been in a few of the programmes to get people thinking about it. So keep Friday 13th to Sunday 15th May free in your diary.

ADVANCE NOTICE:
We will be taking part in the Waendal Walks on May 14 and/or May 15th 2016 to raise funds for AFC. Please start to get sponsors for this event so that we can raise lots of money for this very special Club of ours.
For more information on any of the forthcoming events please contact Glenis on 07870 332606 or see her at the Fundraising Table on Match days or at away games.

Various members of the fundraising team have done the Waendal walk a number of times in the past with the old club, and we had quite a few large turnouts in R&D kit, with Flags, Footballs etc.. (Kicking the ball all the way around may seem like a good idea - but gets a bit tiresome I can tell you), and often made it into the ET as well. There are a number of different routes to choose from, so is suitable for most abilities.
Perhaps have a chat to Glenis at one of our home games.
