[ Sat 31st Oct ] v Barton Rovers, KO 3pm SL1DC AWAY
Re: [ Sat 31st Oct ] v Barton Rovers, KO 3pm SL1DC AWAY
This will be a big test after recent exertions - I'd certainly be happy with a draw to extend our unbeaten record on the road.
We still seem to be down to the bare bones in defence, but there should be a few options up front with Hall and Liversedge eligible again. Richard Bunting is now one caution away from a ban, so perhaps the successful Harris / Quigley partnership that looked so good in the Aylesbury and Deeping games will resume.
Be prepared for some pretty severe speed bumps as you approach the ground after turning off the main road (unless they've been flattened in the past 12 months)

Is the car park hard standing or grass? With the amount of rain we have had yesterday and today it could become quite boggy if it is the latter.Formic wrote:Be prepared for some pretty severe speed bumps as you approach the ground after turning off the main road (unless they've been flattened in the past 12 months)

I'm not too sure about the surface - its certainly well compacted and has always been firm when I've been there for Rovers or Crawley Green games.rushdenman wrote:Is the car park hard standing or grass? There are details in the preview supplied by Rovers which will be useful -they are opening early, and they have Sky TV for the Premiership game. They also detail their beer offering, car parking and their facilities for those less able to watch outdoors.
Some of the pics you see of the ground don't show the series of low covered areas on the side opposite the clubhouse, as they are shaded by trees, so this will help if it's a wet afternoon.
