Any danger...
Of us signing a player... or doing something? Anything? ;)
Usually if you do enough digging you can find something on Twitter of Google, but it's all quiet at the moment. I keep looking on Twitter watching enviously as other local teams are signing players etc.
Does anybody know if we can expect the retained list any time soon?

Seems only to relate to clubs such as Corby Town that are extending contracts to those already contracted.BartonRaz wrote:I keep looking on Twitter watching enviously as other local teams are signing players etc.
Another club in the area appear to be losing players at an alarming rate. ;)

After 31st May everyone is free to go where they like unless they are under a contract. No doubt Andy has the players he wants in mind and is talking to themBartonRaz wrote:Of us signing a player... or doing something? Anything? ;)

There will be many players, at our level, that verbally commit to one club on a non-contract basis and then by early July they will be registered to another club. I won't get too excited until the league fixtures start in August because I guess our management 'will be taking a look' at a few players during our friendly matches.

I meant UCL sides and other local sides that aren't necessarily in Northants such as Stamford and St Neots. Although my OP was tongue in cheek generally.Trek wrote:Seems only to relate to clubs such as Corby Town that are extending contracts to those already contracted.BartonRaz wrote:I keep looking on Twitter watching enviously as other local teams are signing players etc.

I think that is a fair assumption regarding St Neots and the scum, although I suspect the majority of their players are probably still not contracted. Not sure about Stamford, but I would guess they will have fewer contract players. Certainly Jack Ashton and Ryan Walker were not contracted, as they joined us on dual registration terms.Trek wrote:Is it fair to say that clubs at Step 3 level, such as K*ttering, Stamford and St. Neots, would have a greater percentage of their squad on formal contracts?

It takes a lot of time and effort to get a player of Messi's stature to sign and keep it quiet from all the big clubs.
