Perhaps its time for some thoughts on this game rather than too much premature speculation on other threads.

Normally we might be suggesting that it would be an opportunity to give some "squad players" some game time now the aims for the season have been achieved, (apart from a few sprinkles on top of the icing on the cake in the form of the UCL KO Cup). However, with the squad having been used so thoroughly in the past few weeks its difficult to establish what this might mean. Jason Turner seems to have recovered from his knock, so perhaps he should start, but its not too clear if Russ Dunkley is fit for a start alongside him. Perhaps Tom Lorraine alongside Jason to see which one can forge ahead in the top goalscorer stakes (although Scott Joseph is closing in on their totals despite only making 9 starts). On the other hand Tommy Berwick will probably want a chance to boost his goals tally, and after the disappointment against Long Buckby he has had two of his best games for the club in the past two games.
Perhaps Joe Merrill will be fit enough to have another start - and perhaps Adam Confue will have shaken off his knock to make a return.
Another consideration would be to look at who will be available for the Potton game, and make any formation experiments accordingly.
I think Saturday's game would be a good game to do this, as I think its important to play our strongest team in the final league game - not only to hopefully sign off with a win, but also to reward those whove contributed the most to our success this season.

Newport Pagnell have run us close in the three games so far, there's no reason to suggest anything different on Saturday.

Crowd predictions anyone, now that we know we're confirmed as champions and to be presented with the trophy after the game? Surely it will be that elusive 1000+ crowd, fingers crossed, I'll go for 1150. Coincidentally, just up the A6 another team is being presented with their league trophy at exactly the same time, I know we generally don't care about other clubs, but it certainly shows an upturn in fortunes for east Northants football after the last few years, we're champions, K*ttering are champions, Corby have a chance of being champions.

What are the chances that tomorrow, we get a bigger crowd at the D&D to the one at Latimer Park ?

I'd be surprised if we have more there for the "presentation game" than we had for the vital recent games - why go to this game if you didn't fancy the dramatic previous games?

It would be even better if we had a bigger crowd for the Cogenhoe game when the UCL Blazers are elsewhere doing their more important presentations.

Can't say I care how many K*ttering get, I'm sure they don't care how many we get either.

Some people are funny like that, they'll just turn out to witness a historic moment like seeing some silverware and seeing a team that's just been confirmed as champions and not bother with the drama running up to that. I think it will be over 1000 tbh.

And I imagine K*ttering will get a higher crowd and they're doing their own pay what you want day too.
