In fairness to the local Labour PPC, Nene Park is something that local politicians (particularly at council level) have a say on and a key role to play. The point of elections is for people to vote in those who they agree with, so it is at least encouraging if local candidates support our cause.

Not much chance of Mr Garvie becoming an elected official after today's revelations. It looks like anyone wanting to vote Labour in his constituency will have nobody to vote for.

Wow! He came across as relatively smart as well, but doing something like that is unbelievably stupid. It does raise the question of why he continued as a parliamentary candidate when he knew exactly what he was doing. If he'd been elected he would've been convicted and lost his seat anyway!
