I'm not sure if this has been covered before, but is there a transfer deadline in Step 5.
If we needed strengthening or injury cover in the run in can we go out and sign players new to the club or would we be relying on the likes of Daventry to do us a favour and allow Parky or whoever finish the season with us?
I seem to remember Kempston being in danger of relegation and signing a few players from Ampthill to the derision of many but can't remember the dates.

Re: Transfer Deadline
The registration deadline, which obviously includes transfers, is the end of March. Or, one week before the end of the season if the original fixtures had stood!

Think that was in 2012-13. Kempston won their final game and so relegated Blackstones, who as you sat weren't happy. Kempston hadn't done anything wrong by the rules as the players had been duel registered for a while.

And if Blackstones wernt happy then they should have won more games! ;)
Re: Transfer Deadline
Apart from Luke Fairlamb it seems the others we've dual signed are unlikely to be back, especially as Jamal Clarke and Joel Gyasi seem to have gone abroad. I think we lack cover in defence (unless Joe Merrill is able to return - I note the U21 game is off tomorrow, so he'll be struggling to regain match fitness). Central midfield is also a concern given Bunting and King seem injury prone. Perhaps we can clone Brad Harris now he's reached 100 appearances!

Pity we don't still have Sean McBride or Alex Deakin to call uponFormic wrote:Apart from Luke Fairlamb it seems the others we've dual signed are unlikely to be back, especially as Jamal Clarke and Joel Gyasi seem to have gone abroad.
