I've sent items in the other direction with no problem.
To be fair though it's taken THREE days just to get a courtesy reply to a message. Perhaps it's caught in the same system.

Sorry I didn't report in that I look in occasionally, I didn't think I needed formal permission? I stand corrected.

I used to contribute on there regularly, but the anti Diamonds stance got a little boring, everything, even positive stuff got twisted - so I defriended it and stopped contributing. Just recently because I've been housebound and somewhat bored I've started to look in again, but this has kind of proved the point that maybe I shouldn't bother. There, all explained for you :)

So those of you that don't read the FB UCL page will be unaware that somebody posted on there that the decision as to whether Wellingboro Town home games go ahead is down to you lot. :)

I would say it's down to the match referee, who makes the call on the basis of player safety, but obviously others know better.

Piggers is right. Matches in the UCL (not sure about 21's) have to be called off by a referee. Not always the match referee due to distance.

I would imagine that any referee worth his salt would take counsel from the groundsman as he knows the pitch better than anyone else.

Totally unrelated, Welly could only muster 12 for their last match

I thought so, having been witness to many pitch inspections first hand last season it's always been the ref that's called it off, sometimes as you say a local ref if it's fairly certain to be off, rather than making the match official travel too far if they're not local.

That said, we are AFCRD so have control over everything, so even the weather is probably our fault ;)

This is very much the case, although, I believe Wisbech have not applied for promotion.
