It wasnt noted because he didn'tsussexdiamond wrote:
I gather that Troy Johnson did in fact start for Ar Tarn, had we known it would have been noted that he played in the very first AFC R & D match v Thrapston.

Troy played his one and only game for us in that dreadful 1-1 drew at Wootton in our 2nd ever match, came on as a sub for another 1 game only player James Allcock.TheIncognitoKid wrote:It wasnt noted because he didn'tsussexdiamond wrote:

One person who did play in the Thrapston game, coming on as a sub for them was Ben Sunderland an ex Diamonds youth player and the one who put that rather heavy!! challenge in on Matt last Sat at Desborough.
Praise given to the Ref on this thread, who I would agree had a decent game with the exception of one small detail, he either can`t spell Johnson, or Troy is his best mate, as I`m sure many there would agree Troy put in 3 very poor tackles in the first half and received endless final warnings, then came out in the 2nd half and proceeded to carry on where he left off. Presume the Ref has subsequently sent him a strongly worded letter by way of a final final warning. On the whole though a young lad doing a god forsaken job and making a better fist of it than lots we have had with many more years experience than him.

Apparently they're having difficulty in getting the highlights into less than 90minutes!

I'm sure Troy could have stayed with us for a couple of seasons had he had a decent start to his career here. Sadly Starms fancied George Cox ahead of him in almost all pre-season games (and the Thrapston/Wooton games). The fact he's played at Step 3 since leaving us suggests that wasn't a great decision.TheIncognitoKid wrote:It wasnt noted because he didn'tsussexdiamond wrote:

Any thoughts of asking people to pay for highlights? I would certainly shell out if I could guarantee i'd get them say maximum three days after the match? I suppose the difficulty is we rely on volunteers to shoot and edit and the upload date depends on people's availability. Just putting the thought out there!

Not sure how much income that would generate and is more likely to alienate fans. Also usually highlights are available within 3 days, I think it is just a temporary thing as certain people are on hols or have other commitments.UttoDiamond wrote:Any thoughts of asking people to pay for highlights? If K*ttering are anything to go by, when they closed down their radio broadcasts and started charging for live tv broadcasts there was uproar.
