Great afternoon's entertainment in the sunshine. We're capable of doing that sort of thing regularly and it's been a while since we last did it! I was trying to think how many times i've seen a player score 4, and I could only think of Michael Gash V Bath. For a central defender to score 4 in a game is absolutely ridiculous!

I feel bad slating Desborough after their manager gave us some praise in the press during the week, but their performance wasn't great. When we beat Buckingham 9-0 it was fun, but not entirely unexpected because they were an awful side. But to beat Desborough in this manner we did today, a reputable UCL club and a mid-table side, should never happen.

Can't remember the last time I said this, but I thought the referee had a good game today. Got the vast majority of decisions spot on.

The lads really applied themselves to the task on a poor pitch. Berwick's quality off the ball movement was giving us options all day long. The more he begins to gel with the others, the more he'll score. Gearing was superb, as were Dunkley and Confue, who was back to his best.

Would have been quite nice to see Brad given the penalty, but fair play to Dolman who's been immense recently.

Need to keep our focus & pressure Huntingdon from the off next week.

I didn't even think Desborough as bad as Buckingham, cause that was, like you say, laughably bad. Yes they were very poor, couldn't defend balls into the box and couldn't even string 3 passes together in their own half, let alone in our half without giving the ball straight back to a yellow shirt, but it wasn't quite the same as the Buckingham game where it was clear from the first minute that it was going to be a walkover and they didn't actually defend that badly until we scored our first and then they collapsed in the second half and we took full advantage.

Oh and that pitch is just hilarious, 'rolling hills' as my dad described it and you were looking up a hill if you stood where I stood in the second half in the far corner on the stand side.

Thought the ref was excellent today and it's not often I say that!!! He allowed play to continue after one of our players was fouled and then booked the Desborough player at the next break in play!!! Also thought he handled the situation perfectly when Tom Lorraine had his head stood on. The incident happened right infront of us and the Desboro guy knew exactly what he was doing! Tom's reaction, albeit totally understandable, would of got him sent off by many refs.

I notice that last Saturday Desborough only had two subs, one of which was Troy Johnson.

I don't predict scores, but I do feel that we are now through our "indiffferent" spell and beginning to show signs of getting back to our form of earlier in the season. So heres hoping!
Well I didn't quite expect that! But remarkably I still think we can play better and Berwick is now beginning to show what he is all about.

after all the shenanigans that seem to have gone on last night on Facebook lets get back to enjoying our win from yesterday.

Almost everyone in the team could have got MOM from Finlay to Jason Turner, it was flawless, we looked confident from the off. It's not often we can say we played well fro the whole 90 minutes, but yesterday we did.

I hope we are now hitting top form at exactly the right time.

Brilliant all round

Here, here !! Totally dominant performance - shame it took so long to get the first goal, we could have hit 15 ;) (I'm never happy  ).

Looking forward to the highlights and seeing Liam's hat trick celebrations - I think he enjoyed that !!

Buzzing for next Saturday already !! 11 more cup finals to go !!

one little snippet I really enjoyed yesterday was Jacks run and step over from the back, oh and Dolman appearing on the wing briefly!

We were struggling to name a single player as MOTM until Liams late double. It was one of those occasions when everybody played well.
Gearing looked much happier and got more involved, he had at least 4 assists and Confue was back to his best, and with Berwick showing what we signed him for the future is looking good.

All we want now is for Sam Brown to get a goal.!!

Everyone agrees, we have been waiting for a result like this for a while. Desborough had no answer to the way we went at them. The team played really well and everything clicked for a change. I must add, the team is much better and raises it's level of performance with Confue and Gearing, it is almost as if the other players get a confidence boost. Good to see Berwick and Rogers playing as we would expect, good vision and movement. I wouldn't be surprised if we stick half a dozen past Huntingdon.

More of the same, 3 points to focus on, a game at a time.
