Regarding the buses, fair enough DaveAlbon. I was unaware of the local bus timetables. It could be something worth looking at whilst we temporarily play away from our two home towns. After all, surely the current public buses in that local area aren't ideal timings, take too long, and cost too much?

Just some thoughts. I'm probably one of a few people in that 16-21 age bracket on this forum.
I'm sorry but even students can afford to pay £6 quid, it's not even the cost of a pint! As already mentioned there are £3 concessions for those in full time education with an NUS.

Do the club actively go to local schools promoting the team? Get them in young.
Do the club give out free tickets to youth clubs/scout groups?
Do the club leaflet the local area?
Do the club advertise in the local media?
Do the club put ads up in children's clubs, libraries?

We are a new and young club. We need to target young fans to grow with us.

Free travel is a non starter, but a subsidised scheme 'could' work if planned properly.
All good ideas, especially the youth clubs & leaflets. Seems to me all we need is to get a dozen or so people to get up nice and early and distribute free tickets or passes around the High Street of a morning and hopefully some of those who we bother would come down to watch. It would mean picking a game or perhaps a few games where the club accepts they're going to take a loss on the freebies and hope that we keep some of the newcomers - perhaps the Wellingborough game in Easter and some near the end of the season or pre-season friendlies?

The wellingborough game is a good call as just put on the leaflets "pay what you want" get some to the schools, doesn't even need to cost much as the school my daughter goes to email all the letters out.

If we got some leaflets organised could we between us all get them distributed to the schools, so say we put them in the club shop for you to collect, could people say i'll deliver them to my local school and come and collect them?

The leaflet distribution to schools is a great idea but the re-arranged game with Wellingborough Town is not at Easter (as most people thought it would be) but on Tuesday 24th February which is a bit disappointing.

The date for that game is under review and may well be on a Saturday - http://www.afcdiamonds.com/wellingborou ... arranged-2
