Looking forward to this one - I haven't heard anything since a few people suggested a 1pm kick-off time might be the best bet, so I assume the club are still happy with 3pm after the recent floodlight testing?

I was really hoping to see us fire out the blocks on Boxing Day in response to the late defeat at Thurnby - hopefully the lads can get back on track on Thursday and a fast start will be key.

A few key players are missing Thursday but I'm sure those that come in will step up to the mark.

Who have you got on the missing list then Mat?? Other than Matt G long term & Bunts who is probably unlikely to recover in time.

Is the surface going to OK to play on?
It's been freezing for the past 3/4 days; pitch inspection?

Think the temperatures are going to be better over night tonight, and it,s going to be a milder day tomorrow as well. Pretty confident the game will be on.

Holbeach aren't in league action again until the 7th Jan (when they face Yaxley) so we've got an opportunity to increase the gap to 11 points again if we win the two games we have in the meantime.

They're in the midst of a tricky run at the moment.

20th Dec - Cogenhoe 0-3 Holbeach
26th Dec - Holbeach 1-0 Wisbech
7th Jan - Holbeach V Yaxley
10th Jan - Holbeach V Kempston
17th Jan - Thurnby V Holbeach (Vase)
24th Jan - Holbeach V Diamonds
27th Jan - Deeping V Holbeach
31st Jan - Holbeach V Cogenhoe

Things then start to ease up a little before they face Huntingdon on 11th Feb. I think i'm right in saying they'll enter March without having played Thurnby in the league.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

The Holbeach game against Yaxley is crucial, dropped points by both would be very helpful and if we win next two games we are back in the driving seat. Simples!!!

I wonder how much, if at all, the squad can be rotated over the next two games.

two games in three days is a bit tough for a team at this level, I'm more worried about Saturday than today TBH
