matty gearing

Post by UttoDiamond »

Has broken his big toe, revealed on Twitter today. I'd imagine that's 4-6 weeks out at least. Disappointing, but a chance for others to take their chance. What's happened to Gyasi?

When I saw that heading I was really anxious .

That is really bad news for Matty. Just as he was re-establishing himself back in the starting X1.

We, the fans, are going to miss him.

Once again the strength of our squad is going to be proven.

Big blow for us and a real shame for Matty who'd waited patiently for his chance and was all set for a strong second half of the season. Looks like ELJ & Fazel on the wings for the foreseeable, not sure what's happening with Joel right now

Argh fudge - get well soon, Matt and we'll see you back on the pitch sooner rather than later.

Fortunately I reckon the squad's big enough to handle it - perhaps it's worth asking Bully and Dunks to play up front? Not much pace, but imagine what they'd do to defenders on a set piece!

It is the set pieces, especially corners, that Matt is so good at and we will miss him. I don't think Faz and ELJ have quite the same effect as Matty.

Bad news, hope he recovers soon!

But Gyasi, I admit I'd forgotten about him, where'd he go, he had a good start to his AFC career I thought.

I guess Gyasi will return to the squad at Nirvana. He was last in the squad at Long Buckby, as an unused substitute, and hasn't featured in the last three matches with Matty's inclusion and ELJ's return from injury. However with Matty's recent injury Joel now has a very important part to play for us and needs to take his opportunity in the coming month.

Injury to Joel could dent the above plan, though sure Plan B will be put into operation, no not "Defamation of Strickland Banks" before anyone says it.
