The rugby team don't appear to have a game, so that is probably a top tip.
I know where Dan is coming from, I'm at the same stage with U18's, although not under the same spotlight.

Though the might still be stacks of cars and a Clubhouse full watching the TV, England V Australia starts at 2.30 I think.SouthRushdenJFC wrote:The rugby team don't appear to have a game, so that is probably a top tip.

True. Though the football team have their own, very pleasant, clubhouse and don't share with the rugby club, who also have their own.Brownie wrote:Though the might still be stacks of cars and a Clubhouse full watching the TV, England V Australia starts at 2.30 I think.SouthRushdenJFC wrote:The rugby team don't appear to have a game, so that is probably a top tip.

I know it`s the parking issue I was thinking of, with people getting excited about available parking that may not exist. Do the football Club have sky, if not I presume no problem with going into the rugby Club to watch a bit of the game.Woodford Dad wrote:True. I don't know TBH. I don't think they have. They have 2 large screen TVs but the last time I was in there they were showing the Englan game on ITV.Brownie wrote:I know it`s the parking issue I was thinking of, with people getting excited about available parking that may not exist. BTW - for those that haven't been there before; the football clubhouse is at least 100 yds from the stadium!!

Is this game going to be under threat? I see some other local games have already announced pitch inspections for the morning.

Gross exaggeration on 2 points, 100yds possible a bit more, and use of the word Stadium  Long Buckby is without doubt a Rugby 1st Town, and football is played on the wet muddy bit between a selection of rugby pitches, that said they won UCL Prem 3 seasons back and they do have a ground, and we "got no ground"Woodford Dad wrote:I don't know TBH. In answer to BR, football is always under threat at Buckby, it`s heavy going in Sept so tomorrow will just be wet to sloppy.

Sadly I'll be missing this one due to work - hopefully get to listen to the second half on radio diamonds if it's on? At least I'll miss the traffic carnage eh? ;)

Does anyone know if the Long Buckby clubhouse has BT Sport, or if there are any decent pubs in the village?
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.
