If you like a bet

Post by bozzer »

If you like a bet, you can get a free bet for yourself and raise £40 for the club.

Details are here. This is a great way to raise funds for the club

Can I echo what a fantastic opportunity this is to raise money for the club.

Stake £25, get a £20 free bet for yourself, and get £40 for the club. Without being obvious, this could be a superb money-spinner.

It is also worth noting that the £25 stake DOES NOT NEED TO BE ON ONE SINGLE BET. You can very easily spread your risk, even 25 £1 singles would see £40 donated to the club, and such an approach would mean you were very unlikely to be anywhere near £25 out of pocket (assuming you have bets around even money in price).

This is also a chance to get non-Diamonds fans to help the cause - if you know anyone who might have the odd bet now and again, encourage to do so VIA THE LINK PROVIDED and they will inadvertently help our clubs bank balance.

If any non gamblers have any questions regarding how best to minimize risk as well as stake the £25, please PM me or post below. We have a big fan base, just 25 sign-ups is £1000 - this must be plausible.

*Again, you must sign up through the link provided in the article, or the club will not be credited with any money*.

Although the article suggests signing up on a PC, I also found it very easy to sign up on a tablet or phone - following the link supplied, with just one extra step where you are sent a PIN to a mobile number you specify.

I assume it's okay to register your details, but deposit the money at a later date and the club still receives the 40quid? As long as you don't have to deposit at same time of registration for it to count?

As long as you register properly and select to support AFCRD, deposit and bet £25, the club will receive the money.

There is no problem with doing these things separately, over a period of time.

A family member backed 'Over 0.5 Goals' in the APOEL v Barcelona game last night at odds of 1.02 (1/50).

Won a massive 50p for a £25 stake, but now has donated £40 to the club and has a £20 free bet to use at her discretion.

No minimum odds in place to trigger the free bet and donation, which means the risk can as close to eliminated as is realistic. (Risk is, of course, never eliminated, it could theoretically have been 0-0 in the Barca game!)

Managed to persuade a guy at work to sign up for the cause, and I did mines yesterday.

Put my 25 stake, and as I was feeling 'confident' I added an extra tenner so put £35 on Maidenhead in the trophy, Wycombe to win at Hartlepool. And my last team, I thought shall it be Luton, Stockport???

I thought I'd play it safe and picked f*****g Chelsea!!! Thought before kick off £168 was in my pocket..

The joys of supporting your team

Do you have to deposit £25 or stake £25? For example you could deposit £5 and place an accumulator, if it won you could use the winnings for more stakes to equal £25. Can you clarify Everyweeker?

"You must make a total of £25 in settled bets in order to trigger the £40 club payment and the £20 free bet."

You could do as you suggest DW.

However, for what its worth, my recommendation is to back an absolute cert with the £25 at a tiny price, then use your £20 free bet at your discretion, as BetBright are probably not going to be 'market leaders' in terms of prices.

Each to their own of course, and pleased to see Corby Diamond has had some success recruiting others to the cause :)
