Certainly need a midfielder for tomorrow, who else could have partnered Harris? I was even thinking maybe Tom Lorraine.
Just proves how stupid Joe Henderson was to call an end to his Diamonds career. He would have played in loads of games either as full back or midfield.
The new keeper is also a necessary acquisition as Pyecock was far too hesitant and lacks authority.
I don't know how many times Liam Dolman came to the rescue at Cogenhoe.
It is going to be tough tomorrow, but get through this game and hopefully we will be back to near full strength by next round (6th Dec)

Its a shame that Sam is suspended, as this would have been his 100th game for the Diamonds.Mat.H wrote:Might not be correct but acoording to the full time FA site the following are suspended
Sam Brown 1 game
Richard Buning 3 Games
Russel Dunkley 1 Game

No Sam's appeal was not successful, but at least those who defend the indefensible didn't add any games. Maybe it's at times like this everyone will realise how much goes into managing a successful Club at this level, for Peaksy & Co to have found another Keeper and a midfielder of the right quality & not Cup tied may have taken a bit of doing. May be short term, may be more but if it gets us out of tomorrow's rather large hole, hats of to him, & I'm more than happy to share a Ribena or Vimto with him tomorrow.

So, the photograph and video evidence from two different angles wasn't conclusive enough for them - what a shambles these people are !! I can see it now "AFC Rushden and Diamonds? Guilty" that's before the DVD is out of the case !!!
Hope the game is on tomorrow but feeling pessimistic about the chances with each passing hour!!

Gutted that I won't be able to make this game now as my little boy is poorly.
Still, i'm hoping it goes ahead as I've no idea what sort of side we'll be able to field down there on a Tuesday night.

Don't know what rain they may be getting right now in Essex, but round Welly all we have had is very light drizzle and even that has stopped a couple of hours ago.
If the game is called off tomorrow there is no chance of it being played on Tuesday, with the forecast for sunday onwards being heavy rain.

This was posted today on the Non League Matters Forum:-
"I was informed earlier in the week the Lower Road pitch was not in particularly fine fettle. If the rain comes as expected tonight it has no chance. " :(
