I thought Cogenhoe's two centre backs did an excellent job, preventing Dunkley getting any flick-ons to Turner, who was very quiet as a result.

The ref had a strange sort of game, with a couple of comedy decisions - the "corner" in the first half and the "head injury" stoppage in the second, but he was able to distinguish between fairly routine foul tackles and the sort of shin-high challenges that saw the yellow cards for various Cogenhoe players.

It was a shame the Cogenhoe management team couldn't see the difference, but the ref did well to ignore their constant bleating.

To be fair to the ref, who we've seen before, if his performance reaches the heights of 'inept' then he's having a good game

Based on last night, we won't be in it

I don't agree with that, cogenhoe on their own turf are a decent side and they'll take points off others there for sure - we were under strength with key players missing and still drew.

All clubs will have a blip at sometime, we're not losing games are we and I thought we showed great resilience to pull back level. Just some poor decisions at critical times cost us a winner to be fair. It wasn't a classic performance, sure, but we're far from saying we're not contenders!!

We'll be in the mix at the end, I have no doubt about that.

I think you are just trying to be provocative and don't really mean that. Or you are lifes greatest pessimist!!!
The only team that have a realistic chance of catching us are Huntingdon and can you really see them winning all 5 games they have in hand over us, bearing in mind they also have struggled a bit lately and have only played 3 away games to date., plus the wins that they have had are usually close calls.. and they still have to play us twice!!.

Think you may be right, of the 7 other sides who are likely to finish in the top 8 Huntingdon have beaten Cogenhoe 1-0, Holbeach 2-0, Thurnby 2-1 and Wisbech 1-0 they still have to play all above once more + us, Yaxley & PNS twice. So a long way to go yet, last night was not good but we got a point where many will get none, though we do need to get back to winning ways and put a run of wins together to make the task of Huntingdon and others that bit harder.

I thought Jamal Clarke was completely out of his comfort zone last night and was left exposed on many occasions. Why are we not using Charlie Butt and if he is not available why can't we take on a temporary full back as we have the goalkeeper?

He gave his marksman far too much room on many occasions but too be fair to him he's not a natural full-back. Charlie Butt looked pretty good against Brackley but hasn't been seen since.
