Tweet from Steve Whitney.

@nonleaguer: @AFCRD Careful though as it`s on a pitch that was deemed unplayable 24 hours earlier!!

That was for an U18 game though - don't forget we've similarly seen several U18 games called off at the D&D in the past few weeks - only for the senior games to go ahead OK.

Whitney's on one at the minute as well. The Under 18 game at Irchester was called off last Thursday as there were three games scheduled for three days. The Ressies played on it Friday and he tweeted much the same.

Interesting article here from back in 2010 about the amount of work they did to the pitch at Compton Park to alleviate previous drainage problems.

What line up changes would people make for 2nite? For me Turner has to start in place of Lorraine. With Bunts out injured brad back into midfield and Clarke/ Merril if fit at right back?

Joe wasn`t back training last time I saw him at a game so still a way from playing I would think, presume Brad will have to go back into midfield as only option for there with Confue, perm and 2 from 3 or possibly 4 out wide and any 2 from 4 upfront, only problem then is right back with I assume the option of either Jamers or Charlie.

I'm worried we will lose turner or Joseph if we continue to leave them both out.

Joseph only recently signed for the club and was well aware of the completion for places.
Turner I think knows he will get games as it only needs Lorraine OR Dunks to be out for any reason.

I am more concerned we could lose Gearing.

Tonight with Harris moving into midfield would be a good opportunity to bring Butt into the fold, as he will possibly be needed during Browns suspension.

Very poor tonight until we went 1-0 down, centre midfield was definitely missing bunting in there. Also the game was screaming out for Joseph's pace with the top two a bit lack lustre.
