To me this shows Sam was in front of his man, played the ball cleanly and was run into by their guy - not even a free kick IMO - can't wait to see the video !!

Compelling evidence, ball between his legs which were both the other side of the striker who was still on his feet, with nowhere to go he then falls over Sam.
Sliding in, putting your body between a striker & the goal, winning a clean tackle = Red card.
Presume the only reason the Ref didn't wear a clown suit a Pluto shoes was due to the heavy pitch it would have slowed him down in his endless charge round the pitch handing out cards to ensure he held centre stage.
PS Has he been let out of the changing room yet by the assessor or is he still trying to explain his appalling display.

Can we assume that on top of the suspensions that the club will receive an FA fine for receiving five bookings in a match or a charge of failing to control their players?
Also I presume there is no right of appeal at our level.

See the link I included on page 4 of this thread - which also details some guidance on social network comments, so its a good job this is an unofficial forum.sussexdiamond wrote:Can we assume that on top of the suspensions that the club will receive an FA fine for receiving five bookings in a match or a charge of failing to control their players?

A couple of other reflections on that amazing game.
What a "Braveheart" run that was from jack Ashton to take the ball far up the field when we were under severe pressure.
I don't know which captain decided to change ends but I think that worked in our favour given how much the wind dropped after the storm had arrived.
I hope we can see the challenge on Dunks in the second half on the video, at it looked a clear penalty - and quite how their number 3 escaped punishment for some out of control tackles is a mystery.

Interesting post on Fenman online by Courtny Fish giving a view from the Wisbech side. Cousins unfit couldn`t understand why he started and "lucky to get away with just a yellow" baffled they took Billy Wizz off and Thomas The Tank was allowed on, "lucky the Ref was looking the other way when Tommy T was elbowing and back heeling the keeper"
