I see that Brian Fletcher Wotsit's resignation has been confirmed. UCL Division I beckons.

That article can only be a rather crap attempt at a wind up. 24 months ago a visit from them was a big game, now it's little more than a visit from a small town Club in Leicestershire who during those said 24 months have lost a complete good squad a few managers/coaches and now a Chairman. For the avoidance of doubt Oadby to find out which are our big games, glance up at the opposite end of the table to the one you reside in. Wonder how many of that massive Oadby travelling army still bother, often look at their web site & most goals, celebrations etc have the same 10 people in the background, not sure they even turn up now just cut & shut into picture for effect. Do hope we keep the free scoring run going today.

Hilariously amateur piece of writing. All fair game if it was on a fanzine blog or something but quite interesting to see them publish that through their official channels. Just goes to show despite the wealth of departures in both playing & admin staff over the last few months the club is still reeked in the kind of misplaced arrogance that saw them lose out to us in the 2012-13 promotion race.

Hopefully we can push them even closer to relegation this afternoon

Indeed - especially given the author has been "promoted" to be their interim chairman following recent events.

Fairly straight forward 3-0 win - we were too strong for them but it was a shame to see the lads back off in the 2nd half and ease their way through it. Fair enough we were 2-0 up but I thought it represented a good opportunity to bag more goals as we bid to increase attendances. Peaks could have made changes earlier I thought as we were looking pretty stale.

Still, a win's a win and we kept a clean sheet so well done to the lads

Yaxley lost away to Wisbech, and Huntingdon drew with Sleaford.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

It's difficult to criticise a 3-0 win, but I don't think we'll win the league if we play like that every week, or if we switch to a midfield three to try to improve things, or if we leave it so late to replace a player who is clearly tiring and whose performance is dropping off so much. Hopefully we can "up our game" when we play a team from the top half of the table - we'll have to.

It was "one of those" sort of games wasn't it - won at a canter yet could have delivered much, much more. Glad to see Huntingdon drop 2 points, they'll drop more, but we need to put teams like Oadby away.

3-0 we move on !!

Desborough on Tuesday to focus on now - for me, Sam and Matty to start, the rest the same.

I would add Dunks to that as well, always a threat, proved it today. Tom Lorraine works his socks off but doesn't cause the problems Russell Dunkley does.
