Very happy with the retained list, and the signing of Jason Turner is a REAL statement of intent. Can`t wait for the season to start!!! :D

Im not sure why but i feel slightly underwhelmed by the signing of Jason Turner maybe its because he is a jounrneyman striker and he is knocking on a bit however there is no disputing his goalscoring record. If he bags 25 + goals next season we will be there or thereabouts.

Jeez he's only 32, Sheringham was still scoring at the top level when he was knocking on 40. He's bags of experience and along with Dunks, Fazel and Bunts knows what's needed to secure promotion.

I would not be disappointed if Fazel was not here next season. Far too much of a maverick IMO.

Yes a strange one. Bags of talent but seems not to fancy it in cold weather and heavy pitches. On his day unplayable at this level. We saw what he's capable of in the second half in the pre-season friendly at Stamford.

It is quite impressive for a player at a club like Welly to score 30 goals. with even better players around him he should be capable of scoring at least that number for us.

I think he will be a perfect replacement for Alfie.

Was he with R & D at some time?

I think you're thinking of a different Jason Turner, unless I'm mistaken. He came from Cambridge IIRC and the only goal I can remember was the one that put us in the lead at Lincoln in 2006 (Arghhhhh!).

Ed: I was wrong, I was thinking of John Turner.
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

Decent option to come on if you need a goal or chasing the game. Can play in a few different attacking positions also

Yeah, actually scored a hat-trick whilst playing for Cambridge United against us at the Abbey Stadium early in the season we won Division 3. Couldn't repeat that form when he joined us unfortunately. Sussexdiamond may be thinking of Jason Taylor.

I think your probably right. I am confusing Jason Taylor with Jason Turner.
I don't think Taylor could be 32 yet.
