luton game
Had it confirmed tonight that luton will be getting the Airwair and north stands. May as well play at kennel-worth road. Sat in north stand with my season ticket since the stand was built I understand the club needs the money but obviously not mine next season!

Re: luton game
I understand your frustration but the club really can't let an opportunity like this go by. Yes, we will now be definitely outnumbered, but it didn't exactly do them any good at their place did it!
Really looking forward to the game, I'll be there hopefully with a handful of people. Will be great to see NP near-full.... I would think there'll be +4500 there?

Even more the reason to beat the uptight pricks.
We beat them at that shithole disgrace they call a ground, so I'm sure we can beat them at home too.

Couldn't agree more - was talking to other season ticket holders tonight in the N Stand and there was real anger - not frustration..! I really feel let down by the club - is the the loyalty repaid for 14 consetutive season tickets from me and 10 years from my wife. We have spported this club through thick and thin - why is it always the N Stand?Mat.H wrote:Had it confirmed tonight that luton will be getting the SQ and north stands. I thought a free cup of tea was insult enough, but this is disgraceful..!
We will have no home advantage, Luton fans right down to the scoreboard jeering our players and keeper. Not to mention the real threat of trouble with supporters being so close togther and we know Luton have their fair share of nob-heads.
Look at the crowd tonight - if we gave them the Airwair and C5 south stand (as we normally do), we would still make plenty of money from them and I'm sure for such a crucial game we could fill the rest of the ground.
And speaking of crucial games this one could well determine if we are to be in the play-offs and if we are already there - who plays who. WHAT A SHAME all the good work done up to that point could be undone...
Very bad mistake by club management - could well lose us existing supporters and future ones if we made the League.
Hope they see sense and reverse this perverse decision.

Couldnt agree more, give then hlaf of the North but not all of it, i understand the club needs the money but there gets to a point when it becomes just stupid and the clubs have crossed that lineDukes wrote:Couldn't agree more - was talking to other season ticket holders tonight in the N Stand and there was real anger - not frustration..! Re: luton game
FFS, if it's for the good of the club, what's the problem? If you've been a supporter of the club for so long, surely you can appreciate the club's current financial difficulties and the positive impact a huge attendance at the Luton game will have. It is only ONE game, if I was told the De Banke was going to be given to Luton instead, sure I'd be pissed off, but I'd still go along to the game and not throw a hissy fit and threaten to not renew my season ticket next year. :roll:Mat.H wrote:Had it confirmed tonight that luton will be getting the Airwair and north stands. Re: luton game
I agree on the season ticket issue, seems abit over the top BUT regredless of money, you dont give the away team over HALF of your stadium, we are giving them 400 more seats than the HOME team will have avaliable to them, being outnumbered is one thing, giving the away team the majoirty of the stadium, step too far!davealbon wrote:FFS, if it's for the good of the club, what's the problem? Re: luton game
It may only be ONE game but it could be a massively important game - biggest game in years and throw away our home advantage to me is criminal.
Another possibility is with so many tickets going to the away team, there might not be enougth for those who would wish to support R&D. I too was planning on bringing at least 2 guests - will there be seats for them?

Re: luton game
Yeah, lets not kid ourselves, we wont get 3000+ home fans, it will never happen, even if Luton had just the airwair, we would likely outnumber us, but i still believe willingly giving over half of your stadium to the away team is well out of orderDukes wrote: I too was planning on bringing at least 2 guests - will there be seats for them?
