Club Statement
Re: Club Statement
Thanks for everything Starms. Hopefully you can be envolved in the future success of this club in some role if you wish to do so in the future.
There's only one Dale Roberts, one Dales Roberts, there's only one Dale ROBERTS! R.I.P
Re: Club Statement
Mark's contribution to the club has given us our three successful seasons as we must include the first season of youth football, so he gets my thanks for all of that. Our cup exploits this season exceeded my expectations, and as it looks pretty certain we'll finish in the top 6 we'll have achieved our agreed aims for this season.

Re: Club Statement
Gutted to see Starms go.
A huge part of my experience with Rushden & Diamonds, being the only common denominator through it all, from the fun Residential Camps at the Frontier Centre as a little kid, to the half-time bollocking's during my final year in the RDFC youth set-up, through to that magical F.A. Cup run with the new side, ending in an utterly magnificent experience in Dover.
Whatever happens with AFC RDFC over the next five years, I'm sure we will always value and remember our first 18 months in senior football, resulting in two amazing FA Vase runs, a magnificent promotion last season, and an absolutely incredible F.A. Cup run this season. I would have been delighted if that was offered to me as we started. Thank you Mark for all you have put into RDFC, old and new. Best of wishes for whatever you do next.
Here's to the next chapter in AFC RDFC history - may we bring a manager with fresh idea's, passion, experience, contacts, and here's to aiming for Wembley and promotion in 2015 ;)

Re: Club Statement
Wow, didn't expect that. For the past 3 seasons he gets my vote, their has been highs and lows like any club, but the highs far outweigh the bad and I wish him all the best in whatever he decides to do...
I know the statement has only just been posted and early days, but was there a main reason for his notice? That came out of the blue for me... But what he did in the first season was out of this world, he created and made memories happen I will never forget...

Re: Club Statement
Stunned and saddened by this.
There are some issues I have had with certain decisions he has made this season - but who doesn't? He has done a tremendous job during his time with the club and deserves immense praise for the consistency of his hard work and the way he bought into the project.
I truly hope that, in one form or another, Mark Starmer remains associated with AFCRD. As far as this club goes, his contribution should never be forgotten.
Thanks for all the hard work Starms.

Wow, very out of the blue and not a decision taken lightly I suspect. Not a man under any major pressure currently either and nobody calling for his head. Seems a strange one.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Re: Club Statement
I'm sure Mark has his own reasons but if it is based on results than i think it's a mistake
