Bit of a shame that this is a week night and there probably won't be a big attendance, the Waterworks Ground (well it's got a sponsored name now, which I can't remember) is the sort of place you could get a decent atmosphere with a big crowd. There's quite a bit of cover down one side and behind one goal.
When I saw them earlier this season they had 2 big central defenders, who were good in the air but really slow and hopeless when anyone ran at them.

I'll be relying on twitter updates for this one - working Tuesday evening until 9.30pm ish !! :(

But I'll be there Saturday .......not desborough obviously before some wag says we're not playing there Saturday ;)

It will be interesting to see if the Desborough pitch holds up and doesn't get flooded as it has in the past. It will, of course, depend on how much more rain we get overnight and tomorrow morning. I see K*ttering have been working flat out to get their match on against Daventry tonight at Latimer Park.

I'm told that the pitch is currently ok although i suppose it goes without saying that we could do without more heavy downfalls between now and kick-off.

I'm just 7 miles from the ground, it stopped raining here around 10am this morning and is quite breezy at present with no rain forecast in the area until 10pm.

Let us hope the rain stays off and the game goes ahead. I have not seen them play this season, but, Desborough seem to be a decent team with a bit of form behind them. They will be a tough test and we will have to be firing on all cylinders to get a win. I think it could be a case of who scores first and settles into the game quickest, which will decide this one.
Fingers crossed, no more rain, decent performance and 3 points to get us up the table.

Provided, of course, you forget about the 8-1 tonking they suffered in their last match at home, 10 days ago, at the hands of Deeping Rangers. ;)

I had overlooked that result, the scoreline is a embarrassing, but, wasn't surprised they lost, because they may have saved themselves for the Vase match at Hucknall.... That was a decent result for them, so I think they can raise their game if they want to.
