It was a complete farce. There was absolutely no reason for the stop, except for the driver to get his free meal. The whole point of me going on the coach was so I could have a couple of beers without the worry of driving. Then to be called a tight arse for not contributing to his whip round, he gets paid anyway for almost ****ing the job up.

They would have been better stopping after the Dartford crossing and then would have been able to judge how long it would take for the remaining 60 odd miles. In any event they would have made better time using the M20 rather than the poor M2/A2.
Those that went on the player's coach had the right idea.

The only good thing about the journey was the price. The first part of the journey was 90 minutes, then a 45 minute stop where everybody got a drink. Then 2.5 hours without a toilet on the bus, I was livid. Oh well I can blah a lift off somebody next time or go down with the hooligans and stop over. I could teach them my dance moves

Was slightly disappointing only getting there 10 minutes before kick off, because of the coach, but saying that the price was very reasonable.

Only gripe about the day from me was the poor coach arrangements, leaving the Dog and Duck at 10.15am should have given us plenty of time to spend at least an hour pre-match getting a drink. For some reason both coaches met up and stopped at South Mimms services for almost an hour after only 90 minutes of driving for what I believe was an unwanted pit stop and then proceeded to crawl for 4-5 miles to get over the QE2 Dartford crossing arriving at the ground at 2.45pm. The fare was a very reasonable £15, a considerable saving over petrol costs unless there were at least four in a car but at least you are in control of your own destiny when you make your own way there.

Good point well made, drivers are paid to drive, so when I do my job do my customers give me a tip ? Do they f k. If a driver busts a gut or goes beyond the call of duty to help then tip but when all they do is harp on it's his licence, can only stop for 30mins bla bla bla then we accept that but please drive on. But let's stop moaning twaz a good day out & another AFC R&D flag planted on the football map. Next up PNS then back to our specialised subject Cup action V the mighty Woodford almost nervous about that one as sooner or later someone will looooose to them, though not sure we can play bad enough for it to be us.

No disrespect to Woodford, but considering their form and some of their results, I'd fancy our under 21 team to beat them. They will get a result at some point of course and some of their most recent results aren't terrible (like only losing 3-1 to Spencer and Eynesbury), but they won't get it against us, barring a miracle.

Seeing as I've just recently become a fully fledged Uni student, spending over £100 on the whole day may not have seemed like the best idea, but by heck, it was worth every single penny!

I set off from Lincoln at 7:46, and didn't get back till 22:50, but I can honestly say it was one of my best days ever in my 13 years of supporting Diamonds The scenes after Alfie's goal will honestly live with me forever, and although part of you is gutted when leaving the stadium, it was very hard not to smile as well. Just to see the lads giving everything on the pitch. All of them, and all of the fans, united as one. Battling for one single cause. Matching a team 3 levels higher for 45 minutes is obviously no mean feat, so full credit to the lads for that.

I agree with the post about the atmosphere in the first half being akin to that of Oxford, and it also slightly reminded me of Aldershot away in the Setanta Shield final, especially with being in the corner of a terrace. To be honest, I'm still getting goosebumps thinking of that atmosphere on Saturday, and what I wouldn't give to relive it!

Anyway, attention turns to the league now anyway! Still, the memories of our first ever FA Cup run will remain for a very long time, I reckon

I also thought about Aldershot in the first half, the scenes for Alfie's goal were reminiscent of that header by Ranks! I'm so glad I decided to come back, it was worth every penny!
