The fa website has been updated after the incorrect score was put up. The score was 0-16. I'm a coach at burton park Wanderers ladies, and I have to say that Afc Rd ladies didn't give up despite the score line they put a shift in until the final whistle. Fair play to them.

Have we lost a lot of players from last season :?: as getting beat by some large numbers.

I think we lost quite a few all over the pitch, including quite a few off at University. Am sure Dave can comment more.Brownie wrote:Have we lost a lot of players from last season :?: as getting beat by some large numbers.

Unfortunately we have lost more than a few. The following are no longer with us: Gemma Newson, Emma Morris, Kerry Lawrence, Naomi Dauncey, Kelly rust, Harriet Clarke, cat sealey, Megan Watkins. This is due to long term injuries, university and work etc. Everyone of those players could be considered as starting 11. Also I am not playing at the moment due to a long standing knee problem I can't shift.
So we recruited quite a few new players but they are very young and inexperienced. We asked the league to stay down but were refused. In my opinion staying down would of been very beneficial as now we are stuck in a league that we don't have the experience for.
I think the aim would just be to enjoy the football this season and next season look to "start again".

That is a real shame that the League couldn't be more accommodating in contrast to the UCL who allowed Woodford United to drop two divisions the day before the season started. Anyhow, I'm sure your results will be improve. Best of luck for the rest of the season.claire1989 wrote:We asked the league to stay down but were refused. If its any consolation. I once played in a sunday league team and we lost our first three games 18-0, 10-1, 8-2 from that point on we did gradually improve and went on to win a regional cup final.

Kelly Rust, Left Wing come striker (scored 7 goals in 1 game) will be back next season after she has our first child
Good luck for the rest of the season.

Good luck for the rest of the season.
