I had a look as I passed on Saturday night and it would appear that this is still the case and wasn't a one off. If the stadium electricity is back on and there is no sign of Poppies returning there this season then it looks as though the landlord has given them the boot permanently. Still gave him a nice little earner for a few months. Onto the next payday, could his luck be in ? could it be the big one ? After all it is the year of the snake.

I would have thought that it was in the landlords interest to get electricity and heat into the building because the internal state of the building would quickly deteriorate in this cold weather.

I still wonder what use KC could make of the land, if not a sports stadium, industrial units perhaps but I should imagine there are presently plenty of vacant factory units in the area. The hotel project was put on the 'back burner, presumably as a result of lack of finance to construct and withdrawal of possible hotel operator and if he's not careful the planning permission for the project will lapse shortly.

Apparently the Ploppies have reached an agreement with Corby Town and the Southern League to play their remaining home matches and see out this season at Steel Park.

Definitely need to keep some heat in the main buildings in this weather. The gutting of the shop and most of the north stand offices around the time everything started falling apart was largely due to the lack of proper heating meaning a high pressure water pipe in the unit in the north stand roof which pressurised the water to send around the site froze and then burst. Leading to the gutting of the offices, much of the shop too. The beeeezants kicking up a fuss / generally doing something dodgy with the insurers meant that floor never did get fixed. It'd lead to all sorts of issues at np without electricity for so long.

Sounds like they are trying to get out of the NP lease and play next season at BPW, surely that will need some work quick as there is a March deadline and BPW don't have any fllodlights.
Unless they plan on dropping to the UCL 1 next season???

Even if they do manage to get floodlights for that ground, its not southern league standard is it? But anyway I really like how this means there is a small chance we might be playing them next season! I knew we'd end up meeting them in some form or another at some point in the future but will be amazed if we end up playing them this soon! :D

I don't think the FA would allow a club into step 6 groundsharing at a non floodlit ground. Having said that, BPW have had the towers in place for lights for about 5 years and this season have been trying to raise £8000 for the lights themselves. Last time I was on their website (which seems to have died about a month ago) they had got about £3000, I think.

Had a peek at BPW's web-site. They appear to have raised £2000 against a target of £10000. KFC did buy and collect the defunct Daventry United's floodlights last September. I wonder if KTFC are planning to acquire these? The old NP Pitch 2 (original Irthlingborough Diamond) floodlights are also surplus to requirements.

It doesn't seem to matter, as said on an earlier post I spoke to one of the committee members of BPW today and have it on good authority that everything has the get go and the Southern League are happy with it all going ahead!

I see Redditch United & Hitchin had good results today, increasing the gap further between themselves and K*ttering!! :D

Also seemed to be a few K*ttering fans at BPW today, generally acting their usual moronic selves. Including one who looked like he was a Boy George tribute act.. not kidding!!!

I believe Will Muzvimbri that we saw at Latimer Park today was brought in by John Beck, so isn't even one of their amateur players. He didn't impress...
